Setting up a tripod

1. unlock the flip-locks and pull the legs to the height needed and then re lock the flip-locks
2. Spread the tripod legs and pull down the column to the last to make sure its stable
3. Remove the mounting plate if its able to remove or if not fix the camera and lock it by twisting the screw at the bottom
4. Mount the plate back onto the tripod and listen to hear it click to ensure it is stable on the tripod 
5. adjust the pan handle to release the camera to make it possible to move around
6. Rasing the center column-unlock the center column by twisting the knob

Why is a tripod used?

A tripod is used for taking a steady shot, using a tripod reduces a camera shake to make it look more professional. If the camera is hand held it could have a different connotation (to make the audience see the point of view of the character, puts you in the position of the character)

Dialogue

Library: Diegetic background noise, Friends talking (phoebe saying goodbye)

Girl B: I need to talk to you
Girl A: You haven't spoken to me in over a year (.) what do you want to say?
Girl B: Can we talk in private please?
Girl A: I (1) NO, I've got a bus to catch. sorry. (moves around Girl B)
Girl B: Its important (.) just listen to me
Girl A: I really don't have time
Girl B: That's right (2) you never had time for me. That's what i want to talk to you about
Girl A: Please get out of my way (.) I really don't have time now
Girl B: That's the problem you never did (.) and you still don't
Girl A: I have my own problems to think about (tries moving around again)
Girl B: I have my own problem and they're mostly your fault ( pushes Girl A in the road)

Plan for clip

1. Establishing shot- of the library (pan)
2. longshot- Girl A surrounded by friends at a desk
3. Midshot- Girl A at desk showing her and her friends laughing and talking
4. Extreme closeup- of girl B starring at Girl A with her friends
5. Close up- Girl B glaring at A from behind bookshelf
6. Tracking- Girl A leaving the library 
7. cut to long shot opposite side of the library door showing Girl A leaving, going down the stairs 
8. over the shoulder shot, tacking, of Girl A walking down the stairs

outline idea

• 2 girls, with a bad history
• Girl A is surrounded with friends and happy with her life, while Girl B is jealous of her life
• Girl B is constantly in Girl A's shadow starring at her every move.
• At the end of the day girl b tries to confront girl A which leads to a full blown argument and ends badly
• Girl B gets angry and pushes Girl A, and without her knowing a car which is moving very quickly hits girl A

Two girls who were previously childhood friends but currently are at odds with each other. Girl A is currently very happy with the group of friends she has and her life while Girl B is constantly in her shadow and is jealous of what Girl B. After a day of frustration, Girl B decides to confront Girl A which then leads to a full blown argument which has bad consequence. Girl B gets angry with Girl A and pushes her in the road but unfortunately a car speeds towards Girl A and hits her.
